OUR COMMITMENT TO CARE
We understand that as a parent, it is imperative to know that your child is looked after somewhere where he or she is treated as the individual he or she is – somewhere that knows and understands your child’s likes and dislikes, that knows the signs of when he or she needs a rest or is hungry. We want parents to know that when they leave their child with us, our team will do their upmost to ensure that he or she is cared for to the best of their ability.
We have a bespoke settling-in plan for all children – we don’t limit the number of visits your child is required to have before they start their nursery journey with us. Each child is given a programme of visits set around their own needs. We use these visits to gain as much information about your child as possible, so that our team are in prime position to know your child’s likes, dislikes and development stage before they start their time with us.
Every child is allocated a ‘key person’ who will be the primary point of contact for you and your family and this person takes a lead role in providing the best possible care and education for your child.
Our menus are especially designed to meet the nutritional needs of growing young children. Our nursery cook prepares freshly cooked meals every day providing a tasty, balanced menu that contains at least six of the daily requirements of portions of fruit and vegetables.
Full copies of our menu are available to all parents.
We provide breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch and a light tea for all the children to enjoy.
We also very much see food as an important learning opportunity for children – including making healthy choices, learning about where food comes from and how fruit and vegetables grow by planting them in our own nursery garden.
The children also have a chance to learn to cook during one of our regular cooking activities.
Ensuring that your child is provided with a safe environment is essential to us. Our nursery rooms and gardens are designed with the safety of children in mind.
We have CCTV in all of the nursery rooms to provide an extra level of reassurance to parents and carers.
All of our staff also receive training certificated by the NDNA (National Day Nurseries Association) for safeguarding of children as part of their induction to Perfect Start.
Perfect Start’s company founders all have young children and have experienced having their children in day nurseries. We know that trying to balance work and childcare arrangements can be challenging, so we have put together what we feel is a package for parents that meets your needs as well as your child’s…
- ‘Call anytime’ service, which gives you the opportunity to call the nursery at any time to find out how your child is.
- A dedicated room for parents to use to watch their child on CCTV during their settling-in period into the nursery.
- The chance to meet with your child’s key person any time to discuss how your child is progressing.
- Regular events at the nursery where you get the opportunity to meet with other families who live in the area.
- A ‘one-stop-shop’ for any queries about your invoice or billing.
